These color photographs have been carefully preconceived and constructed. Their appearance is meant to hover somewhere between reality and soap opera. The white space around each image recalls the once prevalent Polaroid SX-70 format. The texts, which are photographically generated and printed within these spaces, appropriate the language of popular fiction and are oftentimes overblown or irrelevant. Their function is never quite clear and is chiefly meant to be a fulcrum around which to operate a series of ideas.
